Beginner's guide
How Bloom works
A calm, step-by-step walkthrough. No tech skills needed — if you can tap a square, you can use Bloom.
- 1
Create your account
Tap Sign in at the top right. Enter your email and pick a password (at least 6 characters). No email confirmation needed — you're straight in.
- Use an email you check often, in case you ever forget your password.
- 2
Open your calendar
After signing in, you'll land on Calendar. Each square is one day. Today is highlighted. Move between months with the arrows at the top of the calendar.
- 3
Log a period day
Tap the day your period started. A panel slides in. Tap 'Not a period day' once so it turns into 'Period day', then pick a flow: light, medium, heavy or spotting. Tap Save.
- Log each day of bleeding, not just the first day — that's how Bloom learns your rhythm.
- You can go back and add past days at any time.
- 4
Add symptoms and mood
On any day (period or not) tap symptoms like cramps, headache or bloating, and pick a mood. Add a short note if you want to remember something. Tap Save.
- 5
Read the calendar colours
A filled pink dot = a period day you logged. A dashed circle = a predicted future period. A soft peach circle = your fertile window. An underline = a day you logged something other than a period.
- 6
See your insights
Tap Insights in the top menu. You'll see your average cycle length, next expected period, fertile window and patterns in your symptoms — all worked out from what you've logged.
- Log at least 2 full periods before insights become accurate.
- 7
Ask the AI anything
On the Insights page, type a question like 'Why am I so tired this week?' or 'When is my next period?'. Bloom answers using your own logs, and shows exactly which days it used.
- 8
Share with a doctor or partner
Tap Share at the top of Insights. Choose Doctor or Partner, then send the link on WhatsApp or copy it. The link works for 7 days and shows a clean summary — no login needed for them.
- Nothing you log is shared until you tap Share yourself.
- 9
Turn on gentle reminders
Tap Settings → Reminders. Switch on the ones you want (period approaching, PMS window, log nudge). They pop up in your browser only — no emails, no spam.
Common questions
- I tapped the wrong day. How do I undo it?
- Scroll down on the Calendar page to "Logged entries", find the day and tap the pencil to edit or the bin to delete.
- Can other people see my data?
- No. Your logs are private to your account. A share link only exists if you create one, and it expires after 7 days.
- What if I forget to log a day?
- No problem. Open the calendar, tap that past day and log it. Bloom will update your predictions.
- Do I need to pay?
- No. Bloom is free to use.
