Beginner's guide

How Bloom works.

A calm walkthrough — no tech skills needed. If you can tap a square, you can use Bloom.

Getting in

Chapter I
  1. 01

    Create your account

Tap Sign in. Enter an email and a password (six characters or more). No confirmation email — you're straight in.

Use an email you check often, in case you ever need to reset your password.

  2. 02

    Choose your mode

Bloom asks whether you're tracking your cycle, trying to conceive, or pregnant. You can switch any time from Settings — nothing you've logged is lost when you do.

Logging days

Chapter II
  1. 01

Tap a day on the calendar

A panel slides in. Mark it as a period day, pick a flow (light to heavy or spotting), add symptoms and a mood, and — if you want — a short note.

Log each day of bleeding, not just the first. That's how Bloom learns your rhythm.

  2. 02

    Backfill anything you missed

Tap any past day and log it. Predictions update immediately. There's no penalty for forgetting.

Insights & AI

Chapter III
  1. 01

    Read the calendar

A filled dot is a period day you logged. A dashed circle is a predicted future period. A soft accent circle is your fertile window. An underline marks a day with symptoms or mood.

  2. 02

    Open Insights

See your average cycle length, next expected period, fertile window and patterns in symptoms — worked out from what you've logged, not from a stranger's average.

Log at least two full cycles before predictions get sharp.

  3. 03

    Ask the companion

Type a question — 'why am I so tired this week?' or 'when's my next period?'. Bloom answers using your own data and shows exactly which days it used.

Pregnancy suite

Chapter IV
  1. 01

    Confirm a pregnancy

Switch to Pregnancy mode and enter your last period date or your ultrasound estimate. Bloom sets your due date, weeks and trimester automatically.

  2. 02

    Track what matters this week

Kick counter (with the ten-kick milestone), contraction timer (with the 5-1-1 rule), appointments, weight, hospital-bag checklist, and a birth plan you can share.

Sharing & privacy

Chapter V
  1. 01

Share with a doctor or partner

From Insights or Pregnancy, tap Share. Send a link on WhatsApp or copy it. The link works for seven days and shows a clean summary — no login for them.

Nothing is shared until you tap Share yourself.

  2. 02

    Lock the app

Settings → PIN lock. A four-digit code protects your data on this device. Combine with the browser's home-screen install and you have a private, offline-capable app.

Frequently asked

Common questions

I tapped the wrong day. How do I undo it?
On the Calendar page, scroll to 'Logged entries', find the day, and tap the pencil to edit or the bin to delete.
Can other people see my data?
No. Your logs are private to your account. A share link only exists if you make one, and it expires after seven days.
What if I forget to log a day?
Open the calendar, tap that past day, and log it. Bloom updates your predictions.
Do I need to pay?
No. Bloom is free.
